Over on birdsite, recent debates exposed me to a disturbing lack of empathy for the open web—particularly the ability to view source and see readable markup on a webpage. One dude said I can't view source on a C program, as if that's a coherent argument why view source on the web isn't important.

So that's all bonkers, but it's also challenged me to reevaluate my relationship with open source. I'm realizing I need to open up more of what I've created myself, starting with my personal website!
